Producing a ceramic color glaze is always a creative and chemical process with surprising results. Essentially, colors are a mixture of glaze base with different ingredients, oxides and pigments, that are prepared in a controlled environment.

Besides the mixing of ingredients, the kiln atmosphere and temperature can also change the results.

Recipe: Imagine a color
Cook time: day by day, it is always a surprise
Servings: as many as you’d like, simple or combined
Ingredients:
Glaze, mate or shiny
Pigments
Some secret spices to balance the texture
Water

1º step
In a bowl, add meticulously the selected pigments.

2º step
Add that colorful spice on a big portion of glaze powder.
Join some water carefully and mix them all properly. Keep attention on the consistency of the mixture.
Now, you can check the texture and liquid aspects to apply on your favorite pieces.

3º step
Cooking for about 11 hours to see the final result.

4º step
It’s ready to serve

5º step (optional)
For a special occasion, you can add the “cherry on the top of the cake”, by, for example, applying a new cover on the piece with other ingredients. Final touches with gold or luster always make a good impression. Apply it, cook it again and Voilà!
