As the modern days’ family paradigm, this Arfai new line is a synonym of diversity and eclecticism: a family of eight different shapes, in a mix of designs that match and match perfectly.

Born to break with the classical way of designing a decorative ceramic set, where one starts BY drawing a ‘mother’ shape that is then made into a bigger, smaller or larger version, the line ‘Family’ is a proposal to embrace diversity: rounded shapes, matching straight lines, big, small and even tiny pieces. All together despite differences, composing a nice and harmonious family portrait.

Of course, this was the ideal time to risk such a different approach:

“As in fashion, interior design trends around the world are choosing eclecticism. Pairing is no longer a safe option and may even be an ‘outdated’ move.  There are all the unexpected color combinations, the crazy pattern mix and match, and of course the shapes.” explains Tânia Gonçalves, the “Family” designer.
