What’s hot in home accessories? This is the question we have been asking ourselves over the last few months. Our answer? ‘Hide&Seek”, our brand new collection. The house of tomorrow: either clean and low-profile, either bold and daring
This year, the word of order is contradictory. Departing from the fact that homes are a reflection of who we are as individuals (the house as the place where I truly express myself, a concept widely explored by renowned brands in the interior design scene, as IKEA for example), we have come to the point where the big question is – what type of person is our(your) consumer, then?
In a world where people is less and less likely to fit themselves into labels, getting free from categorizations and assuming sometimes incoherent ways of living, this question has no simple answer. For example? We know consumers worldwide are more conscious, making healthier choices for their lives – but this does not mean this one very healthy spiritual person wakes up one sunny day and decides to have lunch at McDonald’s to taste a very unhealthy yummy meal.
Socially, we are witnessing a polarization of the self. A phenomenon that is brought indoors in the way consumers do choose how to decorate their houses – this is why the house of tomorrow is either clean and low-profile, either bold and daring. This narrative is the base of ‘Hide&Seek’ collection, which is explored in two contrasting story themes: Camouflage and StandOUT.
As the name suggests, one story proposes to get hide and camouflaged, the other, per opposition, is a proposal to stand out and to be seen. With a handful of new color combinations, glazes, and even new shapes, we have highlighted our top favorites of each story which cannot be missed. Find them below.
CAMOUFLAGE FAVES: Naked and honest nature
Departing from nature in its most raw and naked state, ‘Camouflage’ explores the HIDE. It works under the idea of ‘hiding from the enemy’ to present an image of melding within the landscape and becoming one with nature: honest and raw color combos and shades, picked from the natural environment, layer-on-layer decoration techniques, and glazes that by revealing a craft touch, recall the perfect imperfection of nature.
STANDOUT FAVES: Theatrical drama and opulence
In the other pole of the Spectrum: ‘StandOUT’, a complete shout crying to be seen. Eye-catching colors, intense shades and tones, statement geometric patterns and clashing combinations applied in unexpected and somehow sensuous shapes. Reviving the 70’s, this story evokes interiors where drama, boldness, and opulence are present.
